Long Chilton, LLP Certified Public Accountants

A Harlingen native, Scott is a graduate of Texas A&M University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. He joined Long Chilton in 2003 after working in the public relations, banking and financial services industries for 14 years. Scott is a 1993 graduate of Leadership Harlingen and later served on its Steering Committee. In addition, he has served on the board of directors of the following organizations: Harlingen Economic Development Corporation, Harlingen Proud and the Rotary Club of Harlingen. In 2009, Scott became among the first 1,000 professionals to obtain the Certified Wealth Strategist® designation. Administered by Cannon Financial Institute, this designation recognizes those individuals completing thorough study of the issues surrounding effective wealth advising to comprehensively address clients’ wealth management needs.

Kareem is a supervisor with our Harlingen office and has six years of extensive experience in auditing local governments, not-for-profit, pension plans and manufacturing entities. A graduate of Clarendon High School, Kareem holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Texas – Pan American.

With more than 25 years of experience, including over 15 years as a CFO in private industry, Dan has served as in-charge on the audits of financial institutions, non-profit and for profit organizations. In addition, his tax experience includes work for individuals and businesses, as well as trusts and estates. Within the community, Mr. Dill currently serves as treasurer of RGV Council, Inc., as well as on the finance committee of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. An honors graduate of Pan American University with both BS and BBA degrees, Dan has been a CPA for over 20 years.

Robert has over ten years experience in public accounting and two years in private industry. He has served as supervisor on many of the firm’s audit engagements and his areas of expertise include school districts, governmental, not-for-profit, banks, manufacturing and private industry. Robert graduated from Harlingen High School and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a major in accounting from The University of Texas at Brownsville. Robert is a graduate of Leadership Harlingen and currently serves on the Advisory Board of the Cameron County Children’s Advocacy Center and on the finance committee of United Way of Northern Cameron County.
