Stuart C. Mayo, CPA

Before joining Long Chilton in 1987, Stuart had served as a partner in CPA firms in Harlingen since 1961, including five years with a national CPA firm. Certified in 1958, Stuart is a magna cum laude graduate of Texas A&I University. He is a past president of the RGV Chapter of the Texas Society of CPAs. A 1977 recipient of the Harlingen Chamber of Commerce Annual Harry J. Feldman Award, Stuart is also a past president of the Harlingen Rotary Club. He is active in the First United Methodist Church, and currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Endowment Fund of the Literacy Center of Harlingen and President of the Harlingen Rotary Endowment Fund. Stuart retired as a partner May 31, 1998.

Pablo Vela, Jr. CPA
Tax, Audit, Business Valuations
Pablo is a graduate of the University of Texas-Pan American. He joined Long Chilton in 1973 after five years with Exxon Company in Houston. Certified in 1974, he is a frequent speaker on tax updates and business issues. Pablo has an extensive community service record. He is a current member of St. Joseph Parish Council and Building Committee. In addition, he is a current member and past president of the Edinburg Lions Club, where he received their Outstanding Leadership Award. He is also a community advisory board member for Wells Fargo - Rio Grande Valley and an advisory board member of South Texas Vo-Tech Center. As a CPA, Pablo is a member of AICPA, TSCPA and past president of the Rio Grande Valley chapter of the Texas Society of CPAs. He has served on the Board of Directors of the McAllen Chamber of Commerce and is past chairman. He has also served on the Board of Directors of the McAllen Economic Development Corporation and McAllen Literacy Center.
