Rance G. "Randy" Sweeten, CPA

Randy is a 1972 graduate of the University of Houston. He currently serves on the board of the Valley Land Fund and the RGV Cancer Classic and is a frequent speaker on accounting and income tax issues for civic groups. In addition, he was recently voted as "Favorite Accountant" in the McAllen Monitor's 2003 Reader's Choice Awards. In 1986, Randy was selected as Outstanding Chapter President by the Texas Society of CPAs for his leadership in the Rio Grande Valley Chapter of Texas Society of CPAs. He has been chairman and a member on many state and Rio Grande Valley TSCPA chapter committees, including the TSCPA Executive Committee. He has also coordinated the CPA legislative efforts for the Valley chapter for many years. For the past 11 years, Randy has served on the board of the McAllen Economic Development Corporation and is a past Chairman. He is also a frequent speaker on accounting and income tax for civic groups. He was appointed by Governor Bush to serve on the Board of Governors of the Texas Department of Economic Development.
